PARTKDOLG/LUME - Split cd-r

Anti-singersong manifest by Lume, inviting Partkdolg, man with birdcageguitar making children dance, from Bruxellae, capital of our great nation of Europe. This split cd-r contains four tracks by Partkdolg and five short ones by Lume. Total running time is just over 32 minutes.
Partkdolg's hymns were recorded in the garden, with a guest appearance by Lune Borloo, daughter of the artist, on vocals on the first recording, 'Silver Hymn'. Borloo's tracks are lo-fi improvisations that give the impression the artist recorded himself without suspecting being recorded. Very innocent music, with birds whistling in the background when the ukulelepicking fades out for a moment, and the tape still running. One has the feeling listening to something that wasn't supposed to be heared.
As a matter of fact, this is exactly what Lume used to do: mix daily life sounds into soundcollages that make you feel like peeping through a keyhole, while standing right in front of the people you're spying on. On this release however, Lume, on guitar and vocals and recording in the bathroom to get a nice natural reverb, improvises his poppiest songs ever, the tracks having an avarage length of under 2 minutes. These catchy tunes will stick to you all day long. In the middle of all this, is Lume's 3 minute epic 'Bone Structure', an emotional monotonous repetition of one chord.
The Partkdolg/Lume split cd-r comes with floral drawings by Livina Stockmans and is a limited edition.
